The questions we hear most
Will applying here put a mark on your file?
Not from us. Auto Approved is a dealership, not a lender, and never pulls your credit. If a lender reviews your application, your credit report comes from a credit bureau (Equifax Canada or TransUnion Canada), with the consent you give when you apply.
Can you finance a car with very bad credit?
Yes. Banks read a score; our lenders read a situation. Bankruptcy, consumer proposal, collections, repossession, or no history at all: each has lenders who will consider it, and after 26+ years we know which one to call first.
Can newcomers to Canada finance a vehicle here?
Usually three things: a valid permit or PR document, proof of income (a job offer letter can work), and a Canadian bank account. You can apply without Canadian credit history, and we work with newcomers who have just arrived.
What do you need to apply?
Usually a valid licence or permit, recent proof of income, and a Canadian bank account. A photo sent by text is enough, with nothing to print.
Can you finance with no down payment?
Many of our approvals are structured with low or no money down. A down payment helps your file, but it isn’t a requirement. Tell us what’s comfortable and we build the loan around it.
What will your payments be?
It depends on the vehicle, your down payment and the rate your file qualifies for. Apply online or give us a call and we will confirm the exact numbers with you before you commit to anything.
How fast do you get an answer?
Most people hear back the same day, often within a couple of hours. You’ll hear from one named person who stays with you start to finish. Nobody is going to phone you eleven times.
What happens once you are approved?
You choose the vehicle, we finalize the paperwork, and it is either ready for you at the lot or delivered to your door. Most drivers are in their vehicle within days of approval, and one named person stays with you the whole way.
Do you deliver outside Winnipeg for free?
Yes, anywhere in Canada. The approval and paperwork happen by phone and text, and the vehicle comes to your door at no charge.
Can you trade in the vehicle you drive now?
Yes. Trade it in toward the new one, or sell it to us outright. A trade brings your payment down and we handle the paperwork. Tell us the year, make, model and mileage and we will give you a number.
Are the vehicles inspected and certified?
Every vehicle on the lot is inspected and certified before it is listed, and comes with a CARFAX Canada vehicle history report. If we would not put our own name behind it, it does not go on the lot.
Do you have to come to the lot?
No. The approval and paperwork happen by phone and text, and we deliver anywhere in Canada at no charge. If you would rather visit, we are at 312 Nairn Avenue in Winnipeg.
