Car loans for every credit situation
Four steps from the situation you are in to a payment you can actually be approved for.

Situations we finance every week
Auto Approved arranges auto loans and financing for every credit type, from strong files to the ones that do not fit a bank’s checklist. These are the situations we see most.
Good credit or bad credit
A strong file moves fast, and a low score is a starting point, not a verdict. Our lenders weigh what you earn and what you can comfortably carry today, which is why car loans get approved here every week on every kind of credit.
No credit, or new to Canada
Having no Canadian credit file is not the same as having a bad one. Newcomers, students and first-time buyers finance vehicles with us on income and residency instead of history.
Past bankruptcy or a consumer proposal
Discharged, or still making payments on a proposal? We place these files regularly. Bring the paperwork you have and we will work forward from there.
Self-employed or commission income
Irregular pay makes banks nervous. Our lenders accept bank statements and notices of assessment instead of a stack of matching pay stubs.
See where you stand

How does an approval actually happen?
Four steps, and you can stop at any point. Nothing is committed until you say so.
1
Tell us your situation
Two questions online or a quick call. No documents needed to get started.
2
We take it to lenders
We put your file in front of lenders who work with situations like yours, not just a score.
3
You see real options
Vehicle, payment and term in plain language, before you commit to anything.

No down payment and no cosigner?
Three things stop people from applying who would probably have been approved. Here is where each one actually stands.
Buying with no money down
A zero down payment car loan is possible on the right file, and it usually comes down to your income and which vehicle you pick. Money down still helps: even $500 widens what lenders will look at.
Applying without a cosigner
Most approvals here go through without one. A cosigner for a car can sharpen your rate or push a borderline file over the line, but we would rather find a lender who says yes to you on your own.
Still owing on your current car
A balance on your current vehicle can usually be folded into the new deal, even when you owe more than it is worth. See how trade-ins work.

Car financing questions we hear most
If your question is not here, call (204) 781-9992 and ask. We would rather tell you straight than have you guess.
Can you get a car loan with bad credit?
Yes. Lenders weigh your income, how long you have been working and what you can comfortably carry each month, not the score on its own. We finance good credit, bad credit and no credit alike, so a low score is a normal file here, not an exception.
Can you get a car loan during a consumer proposal?
Often, yes. A consumer proposal car loan is possible while you are still making payments, though the terms depend on how far along you are and what your trustee says. Bring the paperwork you have and we will tell you where you stand.
How do you get a car loan after bankruptcy?
Once you are discharged most lenders will look at you again, and some will before that. Getting a car loan after bankruptcy is one of the faster ways to start rebuilding a credit file, because the payments report every month.
Can you finance a car with no credit history?
Yes. Newcomers to Canada, students and first-time buyers finance with us on income and residency rather than a credit file. If you are new here, bring your work permit or PR paperwork and proof of income.
Do you need a down payment?
Not always. Some approvals come through with nothing down and others need a little to balance the deal. We will tell you which one you are looking at before you commit to anything.
Can you trade in a car you still owe money on?
Yes, including when you owe more than it is worth. We deal with your lender directly for the payout figure and work it into the new deal where the numbers allow.
Will applying add an inquiry to your file?
Not from us. Auto Approved is not the lender and never pulls your credit. If a lender reviews your application, your credit report comes from a credit bureau (Equifax Canada or TransUnion Canada), with the consent you give when you apply.

Which lender fits your file?
Fill in one application and we will tell you, usually the same day.
